Aulus Cornelius Celsus (ca 25 BC—ca 50), who lived in the first century AD, described plastic surgery of the face, using skin from other parts of the body.




Sir Archibald McIndoe CBE FRCS (4 May 1900 — 11 April 1960) was a pioneering New Zealand plastic surgeon who worked for the Royal Air Force during World War II. He greatly improved the treatment and rehabilitation of badly burned aircrew.

 April Joint CME Activity of the HK Society of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons and the Board of Plastic Surgery   


Dear plastic surgeons and trainees,


I am pleased to announce that the Society and the Board have jointly organised a special talk by Dr. Ming Teoh, Head of Asian Services, the Medical Protection Society, on the evening of April 18th, at the College (Rooms 702-3), 7pm to 8pm. The topic will be most relevant and of concern to all, "Professional risks in Plastic Surgery". Together at the talk will be Dr. Simon Kayll, Chief Executive MPS, and Dr. Stephanie Bown, Director of Policy and Communications, MPS. There will be plenty of opportunity to raise questions to these important people.


Pleae allow me to urge everyone to spare your precious time to come and join this event which represents another serious effort of the council to organize educational activities for all its members. CME credits applied.
