Aulus Cornelius Celsus (ca 25 BC—ca 50), who lived in the first century AD, described plastic surgery of the face, using skin from other parts of the body.




Sir Archibald McIndoe CBE FRCS (4 May 1900 — 11 April 1960) was a pioneering New Zealand plastic surgeon who worked for the Royal Air Force during World War II. He greatly improved the treatment and rehabilitation of badly burned aircrew.

I have pleasure to inform you that our Christmas dinner this year will be held on the 14th December 2012 from 6:45pm at the President Room, 1/F, Aberdeen Mariner Club.


 


Apart from the usual Work Report by the President and the Auditor’s Report from our Treasurer, we are delighted to be joined by our prestigious guest, Mr. YEUNG Chun-tong , B.A., M. Phil. (H.K.), retired Director of the University Museum and Art Gallery, University of Hong Kong, who will share with us his wisdom. The topic of his talk is 古代中國人的養生.


 


The Council sincerely hopes that everyone can spare the time to come for a happy evening.


 


As before, all plastic surgeons and trainees are invited and the event is sponsored by the Society.
